Dream Care Farm CIC
Our little farm is perfect for people of all ages and abilities. We are providing a space that local schools, parents, and alternative education providers can use to help children learn about growing food, where it comes from, harvesting, cooking, sampling, and selling to the public
Dream Care Farm CIC
Dream Care Farm is a non-profit, Community Interest Company (CIC), centred around the healing and growth of everyone in the community, no matter your age or background, there’s plenty to do, see and learn.
Spending time with animals and in nature is very healing and relaxing in this increasingly fast and digital world. We aim to help all to step back and relax.
Not only this, but the farm is also a very educational experience, we take pride in how we cater to the young and less able in our approach to teach them about the wondrous world around and in renewable farming, plants have as many needs and need just as much care as the animals, as a byproduct this means all can be included,
Care And Grow Club
Join us on a Friday morning and help feed the animals, grow food, harvest and learn about farm life.
Suitable for pre school age children, this session is child led, we just enjoy the space and take part in basic farming activities.
Please consider the weather, (wet weather – wellies and raincoats, hot – sunscreen and lots of drink!). Children like to have a snack midway so we always suggest bringing some light refreshments as we do not have a shop on site.
Saturday Farm Club
Join us on Saturday morning, 10 till 12, £5 per child (under 1s and accompanying adults are free).
Spend time feeding and meeting our lovely farm animals, and help out in the gardens, growing food.
Bring appropriate clothing, wellies and raincoats if its raining, sun hats and sun cream if its hot.
Please bring a snack and drink as everyone tends to have a little break during the session.
The farm itself houses a wide range of animals from sheep and pigs, birds and goats and even our Alpaca ‘Buzz’. We interact with the animals for feeding, keeping an eye on their health or simply enjoying their company leading to their comfort around people. Naturally this helps engagement when teaching people from all walks of life how farms work.
Alternatively we are also renewing our crop farming areas where we grow various berries and aim to transform our land to hold incredible learning sessions about crop farming, methods throughout different time periods and the importance of renewability. We are the closest community farm to Moreton Hall, and are a great resource to have for both the teaching and uplifting of spirits for the local community. We currently have groups for families to come and visit, feed the animals and learn about them.
A Special Thanks to Our Friends of our Farm
